What does "Hold Bidding" mean? And why do bids appear after the "Hold Bidding" message?
The hold bidding message is a syncing and "catch up" time between your browser and BidCity servers. No bids are allowed during this period. Your bid history may update during this time with bids placed BEFORE the hold bidding message appeared as they were being processed by BidCity servers. The timer will reset back up to show additional time as the bids are counted.
The Auction timers are acting funny on my browser, and I am not seeing the updated auction information, what should I do?
1) Check your internet connection, disconnecting from the site can result in eradicate behavior of the timers.
2) Make sure you have javascript enabled on your browser, if you need help on how to do that, send an email to: support@bidcity.com.
3) Still a problem? email or call us!
How do the autobidders work?
Autobidders place bids on your behalf in your absence. They execute every 15 seconds with the goal of keeping you on top. You can create an autobidder with up to the suggested retail price in bids, for example, if the suggested retail price $15 on an item, you can create an autobidder with up to 15 bids. You can have up to 2 autobidders running at the same time. You can not create an autobidder in the last 20 seconds of an auction. Do not attempt to place a bid when you have set an autobidder, duplicate bidding may occur.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes! Refer friends and family to the site, and get free bids for each purchase they make. To get started click on "MY ACCOUNT" and then click on the "AFFILIATE CENTER".
