BidCity.com is a new and exciting penny auction website that makes it fun and easy to save up to 99% (Yes 99%, thats not a typo!) on name brand products, electronics, and gift cards.

Register to create an account (it’s Free). You must be 18 years of age or over. Please create a username that is not offensive or misleading to other bidders.

Upon registering, you will receive an activation email that includes a link to activate your account, follow the link to complete the registration process. Shortly (usually within 15 minutes) after activation of your account, 10 free bids will be credited to your account to help you get started saving at Bid City.

Log into your account to purchase bids. Bids are purchased in groups or bundles called, “Bid Packs”. You can purchase bids in bundles of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, and 1000. Prices are as low as $0.60 a bid.

 

For your purchasing security we use SSL encryption and Paypal. If you don’t have a Paypal account you have the option of using a major credit card. We do not see or store your credit card information.

Registered members can place a bid on any open auction. Pick an auction that you would like to try to  win and click “Bid to Win Now!” to place a bid.  To see more details on an auction click the title or auction image to view the full item description, bid history, shipping details, and auction type.

You can bid manually by clicking the bid button or you can set up an automatic bid called AutoBidder. This will allow the system to bid for you in case you step away.

 

When the clock says “Hold Bidding” no bids are allowed. When the clock says “ZERO” that is your absolute last chance to hit the bid button.

If you are manually placing a bid please make sure you click the button securely. You should receive a message “Attempting to Place Bid”. Once the bid has been processed, the message “Your Bid Has Been Placed” will appear. If you don’t see the message, you may not have clicked the bid button securely. If you receive an error, contact customer service.

It is a good idea to place your bid before the last few seconds. This will help ensure that your bid is processed before the auction ends.

 

Penny auctions start off at $0 and each bid increases the auction by only $0.01. One bid will be removed from your account for every bid you place. Bids are not refundable.
 
If you place a bid with 30 seconds or less left on the clock, the clock will reset back up to 10, 20 or 30 seconds. This time may vary depending on the auction.
 
If you are outbid, simply place another bid. The last five bids are listed on the right of the auction so you will be able to see who else is bidding on the auction. If you are the current bidder when the clock runs out of time, the auction ends and you win!
 
You can immediately pay the cost of the item by clicking on the link in the auction, or you can purchase the item from your account in the member area. All transactions and winnings are listed so you can easily see your activity and status.
 
Once payment has been received for the auction, your item will be processed and shipped to you. Most items are shipped within 3 to 5 business days.
 
If you have won a Bid Pack, bids are instantly credited to your account upon payment of the auction.
